Imperial Heroes Stories Empty Career Changes

    Post  LegendaryExGamer May 13th 2013, 16:34

Location: Home One; Tactical Conference Room

"General Starkiller, you are hereby relieved of all rank and privileges. Due to your actions at the Battle of Endor you displayed a level of recklessness that cannot be forgiven." Mon Mothma states with a very stern disposition

She was not the only one in the room, other's present were Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, General Cracken, Corwin Grant (Amber), General Calrissian, and a couple other top officers. Ackbar was notably absent.

"Look buddy, I know you're pissed, but this is just politics. Nothing more, and honestly it's not like you wanted to remain a General anyway..." Han chimes in

"Han, I really don't think you're helping matters at all. Honestly, you have no idea how pissed I am right now, having just been stripped of rank as well. Now she wants to hang the outcome of a damn near 3 month space battle around Ace's and my necks and choke us to death with it? What in the hell are you people thinking?" Corwin chimes in

Ace is noticeably agitated at this point, only his well known composure for generally not having a reaction and being cool headed, not to mention he always has something to say... The Jedi in the room can just "feel" the disgust, anger and outright outrage pouring off of him.

"So, you fucking selfricheous bitch... You're hanging blame on me for ramming an already crippled Dreadnaught into the Executor... SUPER STAR DESTROYER, which saved countless lives with its destruction. I'm fucking reckless, really?" Ace responds finally

"You are addressing your Sovereign matriarch and Chief of State, how dare you speak to me in such a fashion! Guards, seize him and throw him in the brig! I will have you publically court martialed, and tried for recklessly killing the members of your crew!" Mothma escalates her voice continually reaching the final statement

"I didn't kill anyone you constipated whore! I evacuated the ship and piloted the damn flying piece of burning feces into the Super myself. Fuck you and your damn Alliance" Ace is moments away from action

As the troopers close in on him Mothma turns and points to Corwin "And you will share the same fate, not to mention be branded as a Traitor for having engineered a tactical plan so complicated that it cost us most of the fleet" Corwin's expression goes from distasteful to deadly at this point.

Solo and Luke are regarding Corwin at this point and Solo's hand moves to his blaster as he see's Luke's move to his lightsaber. Crowin responds "Really, that's how this is going to be farm boy..."

Ace draws his blaster in one fluid motion, so damn fast that he clears his holster and puts three shots into Han Solo before he even manages to pull the safety off his holster, a single shot into each of the two approaching troopers cleanly dropping them yet specifically not killing them. Three more shots in Luke's direction, the first two of which are parried by his lightsaber. Just as the third is about to be deflected a blue bladed lightsaber expertly severs the emitter from Luke's Green blade, with the blaster bolt slamming into his chest and flipping him over a console.

Ace looks to Corwin, nods and then bursts from the room, he leaves bodies everywhere in his wake expertly incapacitating a dozen more before switching to stun.

Corwin simply walks from the room, even with the screams of Mon Mothma behind him most of the troopers he passes don't seem to notice him, their vision suddenly clouding. Those that do, he incapacitates with a one or two well landed punches or kicks and the rest he simply stuns as he begins to pick up pace.

Ace reaches his TL-1800 freighter in the hold and begins to punch out of the bay, taking fire from the cruiser on the way out. One lucky shot, slams into it detonating the back half of his ship. Ace is already behind the controls of his T-16, his droid companion having piloted the ship out of the bay. He flys out into the debris on no power.

Corwin swings out in his personal freighter, pausing only long enough to scoop his airspeeder up, before punching out hastily, heading for the "Another Chance".

The two jump away from the Rebel Fleet, never to return.

Imperial Heroes Stories Empty Re: Imperial Heroes Stories

    Post  Xeen May 22nd 2013, 04:59

I will work on a background... but will be more of a work in progress. Since my writing skills suck and I havent really thought about it much. So I will start with the basics and build from there.

    Character: Arno Crystal Slayer
    DoB: 16 BBY
    Homeworld: Unknown
    Hair: Red
    Eyes: Blue
    Height: 6'2"

As the streaks of white light pass across the blue background of hyperspace, Arno wonders how he got into this mess. He has been in combat for almost a year straight. In that time he has made friends with a lot of great people. Ace, a former enemy. Lena, a commando that, lime Arno, has little knowledge of her childhood. Arno has helped her piece things together, but she has more work to do.

"Well I guess I have some knowledge" Arno mutters to himself. Ace gives Arno a confused look. They are both standing on the bridge of the "Arno." A new class of Star Destroyer given to Arno by Grand Admiral Grant. "Never mind Ace, I am thinking out loud." They are in flight to the Rendilli system. A massive battle is taking place, a confusing battle. Everything that has been thrown at Arno in the last year has been epic. Too many strange mysteries, some solved, and others will not be in his lifetime.

Arno remembers his childhood, but only with Rel'lan. He was found at the age of 3 by a Jedi Knight. Or at least thats what he called himself, but Rel'lan was not part of the Jedi Order, he was an Imperial Inquisitor. Arno only understood at an older age what that meant. Service to the Empire, not to the people of the Republic. "The Emperor" Arno mumbles. What a fool.

From the beginning Rel'lan taught Arno about the force. How to use it to manipulate everything around him.

Imperial Heroes Stories Empty All I Wanted Was A Simple Life...

    Post  LegendaryExGamer May 22nd 2013, 12:32

Corwin thinks to himself about how he had wished for a simple life, while standing on the bridge of his Grant-Class War Frigate. Looking out upon the vistas of space in the Deep Core. It's been over a week now, and he had already found what he was looking for here. None of that, however, brought him any closer to peace.

It was clear that the Deep Core was, indeed, building up for something "big". With the death of his grandfather, Grand Admiral Grant he had received a message requesting that he return to the Deep Core, on a clandestine mission. Grant had left him with a set of coordinates that led to the materials necessary to stealth coat his personal warship, as well as to enable her shields to act as a limited cloaking device, foiling visual scanning and sensors alike.

Honoring his grandfather's final wishes he set out to find out what was going on in the deep core. Prior combat footage from when Grant led a small flotilla into the core showed at least 2 Super Capital class vessels. Both armed with Superlasers. This latest mission yielded something far more disturbing.

The existence of no less than 3 Super Capital ships, 3 more under construction, as well as construction of a ship that would easily rival the Death Star as something of ultra significance. He had entered into a state of Emptiness for almost a week prior to this mission, severing himself from the Force and thus, by its inherent nature both empowering him in the force when he awakened as well as blinding anyone looking for a Jedi moving through their region.

It gave him a finite timetable. Only one week, which he had put to good use. There was someone here claiming to be the Emperor, a man whom he personally had a hand in utterly destroying. However, the evidence was undeniable, the Emperor was indeed here in the Deep Core. Something was different about him though, a touch more arrogance and even a more youthful appearance. Corwin spotted him on Empress Teta and the man claiming to be the Emperor looked no more than 30 years old.

Corwin turns to his sensor operator "Did we get out clean?"

"Yes, we are clear for jump and there is no interdiction field in this slice of space." was the response

"Good, helm, jump to the holding coordinates outside of Rendili." Corwin said

The ship entered into hyperspace and remained there for a fair amount of time, however, the trip was much shorter due to certain incredibly accurate calculations as well as a Jedi's insights into navigational plotting. The ship emerged just outside the safe distance to a small fleet of warships.

There sat a pair of Prototype Bakuran Star Destroyers as well as a pair of Prototype Bakuran Response Destroyers and no less than 8 Grant-class war frigates. A hail to his ship came in.

    His comm officer "Sir?"

    "Answer the hail" corwin said

An Imperial officer was projected on screen. "Admiral Grant, it's good to see you."

"Admiral? Grant... really?" Corwin responded somewhat incredulously.

"Yes, sir, Grand Admiral Grant told us his Grandson, Admiral Corwin Grant would meet us at these precise coordinates" The Captain responded.

"Did he now... I see, well then you will have to excuse my lack of formal attire. I need a briefing on the Rendili situation." Corwin inquired

"It's bad sir, the system has almost completely fallen to a massive Droid Army assault. There are several officers present in defence of the world however, who have taken significant losses yet have managed to survive thus far. We do not expect that to last however. What are your orders?" The officer inquired.

"Helm, move us into formation." Turning back to the screen "Captain, I will provide a set of coordinates that your instrumentation will balk at. However, the coordinates will be viable. It should place us somewhere, inside the invaders defensive lines. Furthermore" Corwin pauses, as if he is looking far away "I want every gun battery to fire at these five sets of coordinates, as we emerge from Hyperspace" Corwin says at last

"Sir? I don't understand." The officer responds

"You don't have to, but you will when we come out of hyperspace. Prepare the gunners, here are the coordinates. Prepare the jump to hyperspace, here are the coordinates for the jumps of each ship in the line" his fingers blur as he types and transmits the coordinates to the fleet. "One more thing, we will immediately tractor the remaining debris in to use as cover for our forces, deploy all fighters immediately and we will drag that cover with us as we approach Rendili Prime."

"Aye, and ready sir" the officer responds after orders are issued to the fleet

    "Jump" Corwin says

The small fleet only remains in hyperspace for moments, reverting to real space and every ship in his line firing all of its weapons in a steady stream of death to 5 sets of coordinates. As the ships drop out immediately, on top of and inside a gravity well, 5 Trade Federation battleships. The volume of fire coming in at an unanticipated angle, where their shields were weaker... The ships break apart under the steady and unrelenting firestorm.

The fleet then locks tractors onto the debris and pulls almost the entirety of the 5 3,000 meter warships with them, working their tractor beam generators to the stressing point and only accomplishing this feat through the Enhanced Coordination that they now seemed to possess. After deploying all their fighter craft the fleet resumed its course to Rendili Prime, the Droid Ship debris taking the vast majority of the heavy fire off of them while the starfighters screened the incoming droid fighters and funnelled them away from the fleet of ships.

Unfortunately, by the time they hit the midpoint in their journey the debris was more of less useless. At this point Corwin says "project the debris at their formation as projectiles, all engines to maximum, Shields double Aft... good, ctu tractor beams...now!"

Dropping the ties to the remainder of the debris chunks allowed them to accelerate, unfettered toward the enemy fleet formation as well as immediately releasing the fleet vessels from the hold, which Corwin used to "anchor" the fleet while their engines built thrust. The fleet pulled away, almost as if they had been the ammunition for a sling shot. Easily clearing the rest of the way to the planet.

Upon arriving in front to a pair of smoldering Golan III platforms "Permission to join the fight?"

Garm Bel Iblis "Admiral Grant, permission granted and welcomed. I am sorry to hear about your Grandfather."

"Thank you, but lets wait until this is over to for the wake. Right now I need to know what's left, what we need to do to prepare for the last charge and how many civilians have yet to be evacuated" Corwin responded

    "Unfortunately... Millions, Admiral" Iblis stated

In the distance, the Droid fleet began a slow, yet steady advance crawling one or 2 space units at a time toward the last of Rendili's mustered defenses. Even with Corwin's arrival, the outlook looks quite grim indeed...

Corwin thinks to himself once more "All I wanted was a simple life, but we never get what we want. We only get what we need, and apparently, this is where I am meant to be"

Imperial Heroes Stories Empty Rel'lan's Teachings

    Post  Xeen May 25th 2013, 00:29

Rel'lan was a great master. He knew when to push Arno and when to ease off. Rel'lan was not cruel but he could be mean at the opertune times. Just enough to shove Arno to perform at his peak. Arno's key skill was the manipulation of minds.

Arno could plant suggestions in not only the weak willed but the strong minded as well. There are very few in the galaxy that he could not manipulate. In fact he has yet to meet a person he has been unable to manipulate. "Arno, finish your lightsaber cadences" urged Rel'lan. "Master we have been at this all day, I think its time to head home" Arno persuaded. "I think its time to head home" responded Rel'lan in a monotone voice. Rel'lan shook his head, pulled out his lightsaber and attacked Arno. Arno was barely able to block Rel'lan's strike even though he already had his lightsaber ignited and ready. Swing after swing, Rel'lan pushed Arno till he fell to the ground barely able to hold Rel'lan's lightsaber mere millimeters from his face. "If you ever do that to me again, I will leave you here alone."

After that lesson, not only did Arno learn who to and who not to manipulate and at the wright times. Rel'lan also pushed Arno harder in his physical training, to the point of exhaustion. Many times Arno had to fend for himself weeks at a time, In the harsh Val'Arnos jungle of Yavin IV where they had called home. "I always wondered if thats where my name came from." Rel'lan had duties to perform and Arno could not tag along at such a young age. With his force abilities, Rel'lan knew Arno would survive. Unknown to Arno, there was always someone there watching him... He still doesnt know...

By the age of 12, Rel'lan had show Arno all the basic elements of a Jedi Knight. There were a couple techniques that few Jedi in the history of the order ever knew. Rel'lan knew them well, and he passed these on to his student. The ability to balance the light and dark within, and the ability to seal away the force "presence" within a person. Arno mastered the ability to balance, but is still only a novice at hiding himself from other force users. "With the coming changes in the galaxy, I need to practice this till I get it right."

At the age of 16 Rel'lan showed up in a panic "Grab all your stuff NOW!!! Move fast!!!" They huried to his ship and blasted off planet. Arno didnt understand until they reached space. In the far distance of Yavin was a massive explosion. Rel'lan never explained what was happening but in a short time he didnt need to. "From here on you will travel with me, You are old enough to be in the open, and strong enough to survive."
