    Clan Snow Raven Khan Thread

    Post  Xeen on July 10th 2013, 22:00

Im going to use this thread as the Khan's choice thread. We will discuss future actions of the clan as a whole, diplomacy, military, and internal actions. As rulers of the clan, i would like to hear objections or ideas from everyone, especially the GM's opinion.

Phase I is now Phase III

This Phase will happen once our relocation is well under way.

To Clan Star Adder: "Khan Cassius N'Buta of Clan Star Adder, Clan Snow Raven is no longer in need of our territories on Albion, Dagda, Lum, or Paxon. We also know you no longer need Rho or Omnicron Provisional Galaxies(They have roughly 10+ Galaxies at this time). Both of our clans can profit from this. I challenge you to a Trial of Possessioin. If I win, Rho and Omnicron Galaxies will become Snow Raven and Albion, Lum, Dagda, and Paxon will become Star Adder. If I lose, then nothing.

To Clan Spirit Cat: "Khan Severen Leroux (?) of Clan Nova Cat, Clan Snow Raven is no longer in need of our territories on (Mongoose World), (Bread Basket), (Mineral Lava), and Hoard. We also no longer need the resources of Circe. We also see you no longer need Rho and Upsilon Provisional Galaxies (normally they had roughly 12-15 Galaxies as of 3059). Both of our Clans can profit from this. I challenge you to a Trial of Possession. If I win, Rho and Upsilon Galaxies will become Snow Raven and (Mongoose World), (Bread Basket), (Mineral Lava), Circe, and Hoard will become Spirit Cat. If I lose, then nothing.

Phase II and III are now Phase I

    Blood Spirit Sub Phase

Star Admiral Sylvia Lobinstev (Sara's Character) will take a star of warships and plenty of support to York. Her orders are to start trials of possession for Blood Spirit warships, jumpships, and any other space based assets (dropships in space, aerospace or endosteel factories, etc.). They only have 4 warships left at the moment, and probably only a few jumpships. She will be ordered not to take part in ground operations. She should be in command of Alpha or Beta Galaxy naval assets which is more then equipped to handle Blood Spirits Naval Star.

*** I would love to take their Aero blood legacies from them as well, or all legacies but eh. Once the Operation is considered complete, Sylvia is given permission  to make a blanket challenge on all frequencies. "Any Blood Spirit warrior that wishes to return to the Inner Sphere may do so as Isorla of Clan Snow Raven. Do not be present as Blood Spirit stagnates and falls. Issue your challenges."

We will consider this repayment for the honor we granted them in the Not-Named Clan incident. Not only did they act dishonorably, but they also took a major factory from us.

The operation is of course to take their naval assets. The second part of it is to deny them the ability to travel for resources and trials. After this operation completes, we will pass the word along that Clan Blood Spirit has no ability to leave York. They have lost all space based assets and can no longer function as a Clan should.

Hopefully this will present a dilemma for the Grand Council to argue over for a few weeks or months. I would guess some of the more aggressive clans will either call for absorption/annihilation or they may just assault them all together. Who knows, they may just be ignored and left for dead. Diamond Shark merchants are sure to take advantage of it, as we will be sure to let them know right away for some clout.

    Fire Mandrill Sub Phase

SaKhan Marcus Reinhold will approach the Khan of Hell's Horses with an offer. "Khan ** of Clan Hell's Horses, Your clan has an extensive history of cooperation with other Clans to the mutual benefit of both. I have an offer for you that will benefit our Clans. I plan to absorb two of Clan Fire Mandrill's Kindraa. Clan Snow Raven only wants their equipment, genetic legacies, and military bondsmen. The territory and infrastructure will be left behind. If you wish to bid in ground forces while we bid in naval and aerospace forces, then it will lessen the losses for both clans. We will both benefit."

The Operation is to increase our Aero Assets. Using the forces we have the rights to bid (HH). We will send 2 Naval Stars with plenty of support along with the borrowed ground forces to ... Absorb 2 Fire Mandrill Kindraa. Kindraa Beyl-Grant and Kindraa Mich-Kreese. Both are the Aero arms of the Fire Mandrills. Each one has 2 warships, nothing special but still.

These operations will be simple, call for a trial of possession for each Kindraa and everything they claim. We will hit both Kindraa at the same time. This should confuse the rest of the Kindraa to keep them from reacting quick enough... Besides, they will probably want to absorb each kindraa for themselves and then fight each other for the right.

The down side of this idea is... The bondsmen will be difficult to deal with. Thats not a big issue though, they will either adapt or be sent to the harshest IS worlds as laborers. Their Legacies will be used for future generations and fit right in.

We will also let it out that Clan Fire Mandrill has lost 2 full Galaxies. Which brings them down to 5. This should also bring in some controversy with the other home clans. Probably not as much as Blood Spirit, but still proves them weak and a ripe target.

Both sections of this Phase need to happen at the same time.

    Phase II

Phase II will be mainly non-combat related. SaKhan Marcus Reinhold will put out a call for all researchers, computer experts, and a combat team to escort them. Their job is to find as much information about Star League Depots, research Facilities, and anything of note. Alexander Kerensky setup many supply depots for his Star League to use when they returns. Granted in reality most of them have been discovered and emptied, but there are many still out there for us to find. I want a detailed list of everything this team can find.

The Bugeye on Eden? would be a great place to look for star charts. The exodus road originally taken to the Pentagon worlds will have derelict ships to pick up. Many worlds will have Brian Castles that have not been touched, Ruin of Gabriel anyone? Granted the Ruin of Gabriel only had a couple functioning ships, but it had plenty of derelicts and a full repair facility to put to use.

Does anyone have anything to add? This negotiation will take place during the early parts of the invasion. (6 months in or so, just before the death of the IlKhan.)

    Dekkard would think:
I think that rather than you handing them the Clan territory, you should have it set up as them bidding to take our worlds from us. Naturally, this is a facade. A tactic to unnerve our enemies and confound them. Making it looks like there is a fair amount of riskj in the homeworlds and perhaps cause them to commit resources back to the homeworlds.

By garrisoning our planets with Failed warriors, who can have a chance at redemption by either dying gloriously in combat, blooding themselves (and being released back to us as warriors) or being absorbed into our allies as warriors.

We should have second line and solhama warriors raid our enemies homeworlds at the same time that our homeworlds are being "absorbed". Sowing discontent and possibly allowing those warriors to distinguish themsleves by raiding worlds for assets which we want like bloodlines and legacies and whatever you can think of. If they succeed they head into the inner sphere to join us, if they fail, well they are merely having a chance to die honorably as well.

This is a multi pronged assault with whatever second line units we leave behind, any disgraced warriors and such can be a part of it for redemption purposes. It's underlying purpose is to draw invading forces form our enemies from the inner sphere. Our allies in clan space grow more powerful and then can launch secondary assaults on any target of opportunity that we weaken in Clan space as well.

Furthermore, it will strengthen our overall allied presence in the inner sphere as we will move any clans that which to ally with us on this into the inner sphere without notice, and without fanfare. Once there, they can bid with our representative present as per standard clan doctrine. However, it is to be more of a military maneuver (actually a deception to surprise our enemies in the IS who will not know they are arriving to garrison our worlds there as they are sending forces home to re-enforce their worlds there).

It is a military plan of tactical feints, actual assaults and tactical maneuvering of forces out of the scrutiny of the other clans. Our allies forces would be moved to the IS using our warships (as they are now moving the current invaders anyway) so as not to draw suspicion to our allies moving these forces with their own vessels.

(that is how Dekkard would do it)

Not bad ideas. I have a few other ideas to follow up with what your saying.

    Phase II above

Each clan has their Keshik and probably a naval ship and a few supply ships in the IS. All Khans were invited to watch the invasion, not all did go. The ones that did for sure were the backup clans that joined the invasion later on, the rest did not if I remember right. Which would give them a disguise to bring assets in if they come to observe.

Yes, for a surprise factor we will bring the friend clans that wish to join us into the IS. They can bring their own naval assets once its known that they are there. Wont take long.

Our second line units will go to the IS once we have everything packed up for the move. I agree that bidding is a good idea for the planets we leave behind. I was thinking it could go a different route then the friendly clans that want it fighting each other. They  can bid like an auction, the one that gives us the most wins it. I dont really care what they give us in the end, they only need to reinforce our ground troops till we are gone. Anything past that is gravy. The only Clan I think will not want to go to the IS is Goliath Scorpion.

You are right though, each planet will have a token trial to pass on ownership. I was thinking that no real fighting will take place since it would be a waste of assets. We really cannot afford to lose any ground forces.

I have 3 Phases of operations in the home worlds planned. The first 2 are posted, the last one is still being thought up lol. Some kind of resource or legacy grab, but Im not sure as to what yet. Im waiting to see what goes on during the Invasion in the Home Worlds before deciding. Will Steel Viper attack us? Will Cloud Cobra make a power play over the Mongoose Legacies? Maybe no one messes with us but some other fighting? We will see.

The 3rd phase may not take place unless its a space based operation. In all honesty, we just cannot afford to lose any more ground assets now. With all the planets we have to garrison in the IS, all the planets we plan to take in the IS, and then of course all the planets we will take... I dont want to leave us short. Thats one of the reasons for such a high trade rate for planets posed in Phase I.

Hopefully Phase I will cause enough of a distraction (once complete) to allow us to slip off into the IS with minimal prying eyes. Phase I has multiple steps to it, and will be complicated... and the final stages depend on certain results happening.

The move to the Inner Sphere will be relatively quick. Snow Raven has 8 potemkins and 2 volgas alone, then of course you add in the weight carried by other ships. The people will take the longest.

I know one thing we did do immediately was setup a jump chain back to the home worlds. This will help us move people and supplies quickly. We will need the merchant caste to calculate the minimum they require in the home worlds and in the IS territory, the rest will be pressed into service moving people and equipment.

Ok after discussion with Justin (above) and Chris I am going to modify some things.

Justin is right, we should not give away all our Clan Space assets so easily. So I am going to modify phase I and Phase II see above.
